Arcos Sharpening Steel Oval 12"

The Arcos range of professional sharpening steels, are made from very hard steel. Featuring a plastic handle it is 12” (300mm) in length it is oval in shape.  When using the steel, hold the blade at a 20° angle against the steel.  Keep the arm that's holding the steel very steady and swipe the blade lightly over the steel keeping the angle at 20°, sharpen the other side of the blade in the same way using the other side of the honing steel.  Repeat the process for about 20 swipes alternately to give an even sharpness.
