Compostable Food Packaging

Sustainability is key to our future and food packaging is a sector where massive strides have been made to develop a vast range of products that are environmentally friendly and compostable.  We stock Edenware™ packaging from Go-Pak and share their commitment and responsibility to improving and enhancing our environmental performance, securing a healthy environment for future generations.  Some people struggle with the difference between Biodegradable and Compostable, Compostable products as well as biodegrading they are suitable for home composting or even commercial composting under certain criteria.  Some terms used when describing our compostable or products can get confusing, such as CPLA our CPLA cutlery is derived from PLA it is 100% biodegradable and compostable according to EN-13432 as standard, these products can be recycled but can also be composted in industrial composting facilities.  Bagasse is a dry pulpy fibrous residue that remains after sugarcane is crushed, this extract is then pressed and turned into bowls, plates and clamshell food boxes.
